  1. I approached Armadillo and Masten about building and operating one for me. They both expressed interest. I found out from the X Prize folks at ISDC that there needs to be no financial interest across teams. That is, I could not pay a portion of the prize money to a member of another team. Further, there could be no overlapping corporate affilliation between the teams. That is, Armadillo employees could not be on more than one team. That is a pretty strict Chinese Wall. I am still interested in sponsorship opportunities, but I don’t see how I can enter if all of the manufacturer/operators enter themselves without building an entirely separate team which is prohibitive for me at this point.

  2. Hey, Sam, meat grinds think alike — I also approached Armadillo and Masten Space with offers, but was pretty much ignored, due to lack of funds to purchase a vehicle and field a team.
